GLORIA K. QUINTANA, MBA - PRESIDENT/CEO
Gloria K. Quintana is the founder and President/CEO of Quintana, Inc., (aka “Quintana”) a successful full service multilingual solutions company that opened its doors in 1993 in the Little Village/Lawndale Communities. Quintana has a genuine love for the communities it serves and has a true passion for ensuring that all communication barriers are overcome through helping hundreds around the world achieve their communication goals.
Prior to establishing her company, Ms. Quintana worked for a Fortune 500 company as an International Office Coordinator. In this position, Ms. Quintana collaborated with executives from around the world, affording her the opportunity to learn about several different cultures.
Ms. Quintana further expanded her cultural awareness and knowledge in the field of international relations as a student in Mexico, where she lived for two years. Ms. Quintana is fluent in Spanish.
Ms. Quintana possess over 40 years of professional work experience in the language industry. She has 30+ years of professional procurement experience involving contract management/compliance and Women Business Enterprise (WBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) experience. She has experience in managing personnel that consists of full-time employees and many language experts. Her professional skills include understanding various affirmative action policies throughout Chicago and Illinois. She possesses awareness of proper procurement policies and procedures and knowledge of the RFQ/RFP/RFI/bid solicitation process. She can review and provide professional feedback on financial, quality, pricing, service and availability of suppliers. She possesses exceptional leadership abilities, outstanding critical thinking skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills; capable of effectively communicating with a variety of audiences and cultures.
Quintana is certified as a Minority and Women Owned Business (WBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Female Business Enterprise (FBE), SBA 8(a) and has established her own minority and women owned business database for networking and possible indirect/direct partnership opportunities.
Ms. Quintana served on many boards including Mujeres Latinas en Accion (Latin Women in Action), Mujeres Emeritus Board, Pilsen Neighborhood Community Council and the Cermak Road Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Quintana earned an Executive, MBA, degree from Loyola University and received a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Business from DePaul University in Chicago.
